Summary: All AI processing happens on your device — nothing you write is ever sent to an AI service. The app works offline, and syncs your entries to our servers so they survive losing your phone. We never sell your data and never use advertising trackers.
1. On-Device AI
We respect the sensitive nature of personal mental-wellness data. The AI that generates your nudges runs entirely on your phone:
- The AI model never leaves your device. It is downloaded to your phone and runs there. Your data is not sent to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any other AI provider — we do not use any third-party AI service.
- Prompts are built and processed locally. The prompt is assembled on your device from structured category tallies and is never transmitted anywhere.
2. What We Store on Our Servers
The app keeps a copy of your data on your device so it works offline, and synchronizes it to our secure backend database (Cloudflare D1, hosted by Cloudflare) so that it is backed up and available if you change or lose your device. What we store, tied to your account:
- Account: By default you can use the app completely anonymously, without a name, email address, or phone number. You may optionally link an email and password to sync across devices — if you do, we store that email address.
- Structured entries: Baseline self-assessment answers and results, daily check-in mood ratings and the categories you select, activity completion logs, weekly experiments and their progress, plus your age group and country where you chose to provide them.
- Text you write: Notes attached to your check-ins, activity logs, weekly reflections, and experiment progress, along with your answers to the guided weekly reflection questions, are stored on our servers as part of the same record. We store this text so your entries are backed up and readable across devices. It is never used for advertising or profiling, never sold, never shared with third parties, and never sent to any AI service.
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
3. Advertising & Analytics
- No Third-Party Advertising: We do not include third-party ad networks or collect Advertising IDs (such as IDFA or Google Advertising ID).
- No Data Sales: We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to third parties for marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes under any circumstances.
4. Data Control & Deletion
You remain in control of your data. You can delete your account and everything stored with it — including all text you have written — from inside the app, under Settings → Your Data. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
You can remove only the local copy at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.
